Bardolino is located on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda. The village was built on a headland made of rock debris carried to the lake by the waters of Valsorda and San Severo creeks.
Behind the inhabited centre there are hills covered in vineyards, which produce the well known Bardolino red wine. Bardolino has always been a favourite destination among tourists, especially those coming from German speaking areas, thanks to its mild winter climate and warm but not sultry summer one. The area is surrounded by a natural scenario rich in vegetation and breathtaking views. At the feet of the “Rocca”, the rock headland overlooking the blue lake, there is a number of scenic hiking routes. Bardolino is a famous tourist location, where the typical charm of small and enclosed lake villages marries with the pleasant hills of the inlands, where vineyards grow together with olive trees and from where you can enjoy scenic views over the whole southern part of the biggest Italian lake . The landscape is a harmonic ensemble incorporating the Lake placid waters and unspoilt routes, where time seems to stand still. The undulating hillside covered with vineyards and olive trees is crossed by the Bardolino wine route. There you can find almost hidden country houses and restaurants where you can taste traditional local dishes. There are also lots of farms and wineries where you can stop by for some tasting or to buy local products.
